As I was reading this topic there were some people that said their problem is that the game after installing the patch works terribly slowly. What I didn't find was the answer so I ask - is there a way to fix this? Because I removed my mods, tried to install the patch (1.00.631 to 1.4.6) then installed it after removing some camera and fade mods, then put it back together and everything worked even with the slider hack but it was so slow that I uninstalled and installed my game again to have the previous version and it didn't help a thing. It is still very slow, I mean - very, very slow, it wasn't like that before, that I can tell - I removed almost all my mods and Rick and Delphy's Slider Hack but my game is slow as.I don't know, very sick snail or something! Can you please help me? Still Borked!Ok I've tried to find solutions and seen a few people mention it here (one had an answer on how to fix it but i couldn't understand a word he/she said (sorry)).I bought my copy from Direct 2 Drive. (I hope it's legal or i want my money back lol)I open the Launcher and try to update (still orginal version) It says i dont have enough space.

(750 gig hard drive with still over 500+ free, so i figure it has to do with the Digital Download or where the game is trying to install at).I've completely uninstalled the game and reinstalled, didn't add any CC or stuff, just went straight to trying to patch and i get the same thing. So next step i try to install manually. It tells me i dont have the right region. And then goes to say file not found. Tried getting the patches with the EADM (versioin 5.0) but it dont even show any for Sims3 on there.I'm running Windows XP pro on a Intel Core 2 Duo, 3 gig ram, Everything is upto date (graphics, direct x, sound, main windows updates,ect.)My game runs fine without the patches but i would really like to keep it up to date. Like I said in the pm, we do not provide support for games using no-cd cracks. No exceptions. You posted saying you were using this crack, which is against our rules. If you would like support you need to reinstall the game without the crack and then tell us you have done so. Only then can we help.As a side note, when a staff member deletes your post with a note, it is not okay to ignore that note and continue posting.

I seem to have encountered a strange error since patching the game, now even if i uninstall and reinstall (i have done this numerous times) the mods that are in the mod folder are not recognized however the game is still playable.I have windows vista premium with a Intel duel core 2.4 processor 2gb of ram and an ATI raedon x1550 video card, and a hard copy of the gameI hope someone could help me because although the game is playable, it isn't quite as enjoyable without the lovely mods from here. I had the same problem installing then crashing here is how I fixed mine:1. I downloaded the correct shades file bc I had deleted the original one.2. Ran the installer patchThen I followed HP instructions I added the CC by groups if you use delphys monkey installer on the right click menu it has categories where you can put things if you use this most of the work its done bc you can add thins this way and if you have issues you can just take the ones that would be more obvious rather than having a huge space filled with CC.here are the.cfg packets that did now work with this patch and made my computer crash.1. Peggys default skin replacementI have the rest of the mods on this site as well as Gabriel project Alpha and they all work great!I hope this helpssorry for my english. But i thought i'd download the patch just mainly for the fixed speed feature. Now i did what it said in the thread however now, the options menu wont even open, i click on it and nothing happens. My Sim wont do anything he just is there asleep, im missing the action menu, im missing the bit at the side where you select your diffrent sims, it's missing any of the moodlets (whatever there called) in the box in the middle and all the needs bars are all on full.I tried downloading it when i first got the game last week before i had even played it and it was the same so it deffinatly isn't to do with mods or anything. After trying for days to update (finally having to reinstall) I got the patch to work.I then replaced my mods folder and Sims 3 folder.

I go into game, where on the family view screen, I see everyone as they were, custom hair/clothes/etc. I think 'Yay' I did something right!Then I get into the game, and there is no sim selection, although time passes, nobody moves.In a previous post by 'UserID' a picture was posted that does show exactly what I am speaking about.

I think it has to do with the saved game.I opened up the game, and instead of choosing my saved game, I started a new one. Went into the home and everything was back to normal.I then left that game and went into my saved game (which I had removed when reinstalling - patching the game) That game is where the problem is. I didn't edit anything inside of the folder, so all I can think of is that that particular game is not 'current patch' acceptable, as it was played before hand. I know that sounds crazy.So, if anyone has a fix, I'll test it out, otherwise, I guess I am onto a new game.
