Good family fun!This is a show that I can consistently watch without getting bored or be turned off. I'm so glad to have found this brand new box set for sale, allowing me to relive early memories of watching this show as a young child. Nostalgia aside, a lot of TV shows today aren't made with just quality lighthearted entertainment that the whole family can kick back enjoy while also learning a few valuable lessons about life along the way. The actors also have genuine chemistry with each other that really let's you feel that they are an actual family that live together with each other, especially the characters 'Jill' and 'Tim' as a believable husband and wife.
Great show but packaging is lackingI purchased this as a gift. When it was opened the inside of the box was damaged looking, the dvd boxes themselves were also damaged and the discs had what seemed to be dust on them? Which is strange since this was listed as new. However, I remember this set coming with a “Bimford” tape measure in the inside of the lid (when it was first released) and this didn’t have that. So, I’m not 100% convinced this was “brand new”. However, my husband has enjoyed watching the old show we enjoyed when we were younger and we can look past the damage for the deal we received. Plenty of laughs for the entire family. Just like I remember back in the 90's. I had one DVD skip but it turns out it was my DVD player I tried it in another DVD player and it worked fine. I think it depends on the age of your DVD player and the brand. I find some of the cheaper brands don't work as well reading discs sometimes and tend to go out faster than the more expensive brands. I would recommend this set to anyone who loves to laugh and likes Tim Allen's comedy.
Its hard to find something clean to watch on TV now days and this is not that bad. I think the entire family would enjoy this.
The kids and I love comedies, and Home Improvement fits right in within our taste for movies! For the longest time we were renting the seasons from our local library, but we got tired of that too.

I decided that we will purchase it. BUT the show is so good, that you just can't buy 1 season! So I bought ALL seasons on DVDs. After looking everywhere online, Walmart was the only place that was selling the seasons for an affordable AND reasonable price. I even got something off for purchasing 2 seasons instead of 1 because they paired up my search results!!! Anyway, the delivery came earlier than expected, all the DVDs were in great condition (except 1 - the case was chipped, but the actual DVD was unharmed). I am glad that I decided to purchase from Walmart, because I DID save money.
